I can't believe that it is finally here! Google has just announced Google Chrome OS. Everyone knew that this was inevitable but now it has finally occurred. Very soon it looks like this will be available.
Very exciting times. One more reason for my child to one day ask, "Now, who was Microsoft again?"

O.K. So for all of us lay people who haven't heard of chrome...Please....do tell!
Chrome - The difference between Chrome and Microsoft is this. Chrome is a browser that allows you to access the internet. However the Chrome OS is what makes your computer run - fast! Microsoft tries to use up as much of your operating memory as possible and is very bloated. This means that if it uses 1gb ram, and you add 4 gb ram to improve speed so that you can add more software. Microsoft takes as much of the extra 3 Gb of ram to make sure you can't add more non Microsoft programs. In other words, their business practices are NOT Biblical. Period.
